We are just 2 weeks away from attending the Skills for Energy People: Powering the Future conference, where we look forward to discussing the recruitment of skilled workers to fill emerging offshore wind, nuclear and oil & gas projects in the East. One option the industry has been looking at comes from recruiting ex-military personnel and retraining them for careers in the energy industry. The Navy, Army and Air Force include many highly trained engineers and once they leave the services our sister company, Forces 4 Energy (F4E), can work with them to give them the best chance of retraining and up skilling. Forces 4 Energy was set up after consultation with service leavers, with the services they provide tailored to meet their specific needs.
