New Year, New Job, New You!Posted on January 6, 2020
Jump headfirst into your New Year’s resolutions and find your dream job. Whether you’re looking to take the next step up the career ladder, be promoted, change paths or begin your journey, we can help you make your way in the energy industry.
Refresh Your CV
Bring your CV up to date for 2020 and for the direction you want to move in. Find loads of helpful articles on writing your CV and how to tailor it to the position you’re interested in, on our career resources page. Once your CV is current and ready, send it to us – we appreciate the time and effort that goes into writing and formatting a CV so we always reply to your application with feedback.
Armed with your refreshed CV, get out there and make yourself known! Networking helps you understand the positions available and the landscape of the industry. If you’ve recently moved to a new area or are new to the industry it’s an invaluable way to make contacts.
As well as attending industry networking groups, visit conferences and expos – for instance the Subsea Expo 2020 in Aberdeen in February, TotalDecom 2020 in Manchester in April, SNS 2020 in April in Norwich. Events such as these are great ways to find out about niche areas, even if you aren’t necessarily looking to change jobs, or are aiming for a promotion – show initiative and attend on your company’s behalf.
Easily look and apply for positions online, we update our database several times a week and keep in constant contact with industry partners and companies both locally and further afield. With many exciting projects off the East Anglian coast we’re well placed to help recruit for the ever-expanding renewables sector.
