Senior Delivery Effectiveness Consultant

Location: London, London, UK Type: Permanent Vacancy Reference: 26-00298

Are you passionate about improving programme performance across some of the UK's largest and most complex infrastructure projects?

We are seeking a Senior Delivery Effectiveness Consultant to play a key role in driving productivity, performance improvement and delivery excellence across the Sizewell C programme.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a nationally significant infrastructure project, partnering with senior leaders and multidisciplinary delivery teams to embed best practice, improve outcomes and support the successful delivery of one of the UK's most ambitious energy programmes.

This role is ideally suited to professionals with experience in major infrastructure, engineering, construction, energy, utilities, transportation, defence or other highly regulated project environments. We are specifically looking for individuals who understand the realities and challenges of delivering large-scale capital projects and complex programme portfolios.

The Opportunity

The Delivery Effectiveness Programme has moved from design into implementation, adoption and embedding. As a Senior Delivery Effectiveness Consultant, you will help translate strategy into measurable delivery improvements, ensuring that programme teams have the tools, processes and behaviours needed to achieve successful outcomes.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, E2E Managers and delivery teams, you will drive performance improvement initiatives, support organisational change, and help transform project delivery through the adoption of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), digital tools and improved ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive improvements in programme performance, productivity and delivery effectiveness across multiple projects.
  • Support project teams and senior leadership in identifying and removing delivery barriers.
  • Embed governance, project controls, risk management and quality processes across the programme.
  • Lead the successful adoption of new frameworks, tools and delivery methodologies.
  • Use performance data, dashboards and reporting insights to support informed decision-making.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and alignment around common delivery objectives.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to accelerate delivery improvements and capability development.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that create sustainable benefits across the wider programme.

What We're Looking For

We are interested in candidates who have experience supporting or improving delivery within major infrastructure, engineering, construction, energy, utilities, transportation, defence or similarly regulated environments.

You'll bring:

  • Strong understanding of project delivery principles, governance and programme management frameworks.
  • Experience of project controls including planning, scheduling, reporting, risk and performance management.
  • Knowledge of change management and implementing new tools, processes and ways of working.
  • Experience of organisational performance improvement and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with digital delivery tools, reporting solutions and business process improvement initiatives.
  • A proven understanding of the challenges associated with delivering large-scale infrastructure, engineering or construction programmes.
  • Degree qualification or equivalent relevant experience.

Why Apply?

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects while working alongside industry-leading professionals. You'll join a team focused on improving programme delivery at scale, influencing senior stakeholders and creating lasting improvements that support project success.

If you have experience driving delivery performance within complex infrastructure, engineering or construction environments and want to make a meaningful impact on a nationally important project, we'd love to hear from you.
