Civil Technical Engineering Manager

This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role on a nationally significant infrastructure project where your expertise will directly support the transition to clean, secure energy.
You will work at scale, collaborate with leading engineering professionals, and influence designs that must meet the highest standards of safety, quality and assurance.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Define and validate technical requirements and specifications across ancillary civil works.
  • Lead and support technical and digital design assurance activities.
  • Coordinate fully integrated civil designs, including 3D model environments.
  • Manage technical interfaces across multi-disciplinary and programme stakeholders.
  • Provide engineering input into early warnings, compensation events and technical queries.
  • Integrate construction methodology and site logistics into design solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering governance, CDM duties and design processes.
  • Support delivery against contract schedules and the integrated work schedule.
  • Manage technical risks, surveillance activities and open design actions.

 
 
Qualifications & Requirements
 

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Chartered or working towards).
  • Strong experience across concept to construction in heavy civils or infrastructure works.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary technical delivery.
  • Knowledge of UK design standards and RIBA Plan of Work.
  • Experience working in highly regulated or safety-critical environments.
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Desirable: experience in nuclear projects, NEC contracts or EPR design.
