Business Development Manager

PWE Recruitment are seeking a results driven and experienced Business Development Manager to lead new client acquisition and contribute to sustainable growth across the UK.
In this role, you will take full ownership of the sales cycle—from identifying prospects to closing deals—while delivering tailored energy consultancy solutions that meet client needs. Your consultative approach, commercial insight, and relationship-building skills will be key to driving long-term value.

Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities through outbound calls, networking, events, and referrals
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline aligned with the company's growth targets
- Establish and develop relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders
- Deliver proposals and presentations tailored to client challenges and objectives
- Negotiate and close deals that support both client success and company goals
- Collaborate with marketing to support lead generation and align sales messaging
- Track sales activity and pipeline in the CRM system, ensuring data accuracy and visibility.
- Stay informed on market trends and customer feedback to shape future service offerings
- Represent the company at industry events to enhance visibility and credibility
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and delivery
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a full-cycle B2B sales or business development role, ideally within the energy industry and preferably an energy consultant.
- Proven success selling energy services such as procurement, bill validation, compliance, or efficiency solutions
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Highly motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work independently
- Skilled in creating high-impact proposals and strategic sales plans
- Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Commercially aware, analytical, and solutions-oriented
- Full UK driving licence
