Smart Technologies: Dual Fuel Meter Jobs Available

Smart technologies are becoming commonplace in our homes, with smart energy meters one of the latest. By 2020, every home in the country will be fitted with one of these devices and as a result there is incredible demand for people with skills to fit them. At People with Energy we are currently working with clients to recruit people for dual fuel meter jobs across the country.


One client we are working with is looking for candidates in the North West and North East of England, and Scotland. The successful candidates will work in close proximity to their postal code area to carry out dual fuel metering and the roles offer a realistic opportunity to earn over £33,000 per year – as outlined below.


Who Is the Client?


Our client is a family run company that regularly partners with major international utility companies. You can expect to be treated as an individual, with opportunities for on-going training and development, and the highest earning potential of any metering contract in your region today.


Who Are We Looking For?


Ideally we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following criteria:

  • Must be dual fuel qualified and hold current ACS and MOCOPA authorisations
  • Have at least six months’ post training work experience as a dual fuel engineer
  • Hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
  • Live within the regions required
  • Being prepared to undertake a visual trade test at the interview stage
  • Being happy to drive a van with a tracker (for business use only)

What Can Successful Applicants Expect?


In return, our client is offering all successful candidates:

  • A basic salary starting from £28,000
  • A £25 bonus for every dual fuel installation completed from the 6th property onwards each day. 
  • 20 days’ annual leave and 8 statutory holidays a year
  • Statutory sick pay
  • On call 7-days per week on a rota basis (£180 per week retainer inclusive of first job of the day, then £17.50 for every subsequent installation.)
  • A Renault Traffic van and fuel card.
  • All tools required.
