Now Recruiting: Temporary Project Planner in Great Yarmouth

From our head office in Suffolk, we are ideally placed to assist energy companies operating in the Southern North Sea. Our consultants have many years’ experience of recruiting the best candidates for a wide range of roles, and it is something that we continue to specialise in.


One of our clients is not only a specialist provider of products and services to the global energy industry, but also an established player in the installation, inspection and maintenance of wind turbines. We are currently working with them and assisting with the recruitment of a Project Planner to work on the Galloper Windfarm project on a contract basis. 


What Will the Role Involve?


The successful candidate will be heavily involved with the drawing, revision and administering of the contract schedule during the course of the project. There will be a particular emphasis on:

  • Confirming and agreeing the contract schedule prior to mobilisation.
  • Making weekly and monthly updates to the schedule, including progress, productivity and critical path.
  • Inputting to and the management of the load out schedule.
  • Inputting to and the management of the crane schedule.
  • Inputting to and the management of any other scheduling as required.
  • Scheduling of variations to the lump sum.
  • Scheduling management, including the extension of time and liquidated damages.
  • Managing any subcontracts required on the schedule.
  • Providing scheduling advice to the Contract Administrator, Project Manager and site team.
  • Reviewing performance again the schedule and rate of installation.


Who Should Apply?


Our client would like to hear from candidates who are qualified at degree level in Engineering, Project Controls or Construction. Ideally you will have a minimum 10 years’ experience in project planning in the renewables, power, or oil and gas industries. Experience of planning Primavera and/or MS Project planning software is also essential.

The successful candidate can expect to receive a temporary vacancy with an established player in the installation, inspection and maintenance of wind turbines. The role will be based in Great Yarmouth, with a salary to be determined dependent on experience.
