Over the years we have established a reputation as one of the UK’s leading recruiters for positions in the energy industry – though that is far from our only area of speciality. In recent years we have assisted clients in a wide variety of industry sectors, helping them identify the right candidate for roles both in the UK and around the world.

With that in mind, we are currently working with a specialist client in the construction sector to recruit a Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager.

About The Role

The role is a permanent vacancy working for our client – a global specialist architectural steelwork, EFTE membrane and glazing contractor. You will join their team and be based at their UK Head Office in Diss, Norfolk. The role comes with a salary of between £30,000 and £40,000, a company vehicle and package.

Who We Are Looking For

Ideally we are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate a minimum of three years’ experience working in a similar role. They should have a good understanding of, or be competent in, the following areas:

  • Core commercial management, quantity surveying and contract administrative tasks – including the assembly of applications for payment, final accounts, reporting and forecasting.
  • The commercial management of accounts for main contractors and subcontractors – including the evaluation and management of change, assembly of payment information, account negotiations and final account agreements.
  • The procurement of sub-contract works – including the assessment of tenders, quantum and award recommendations.
  • Production of cost performance data – including CVRs, forecasting, cash-flow, claims and variation analysis.
  • Compilation and assessment of contractor variations – including monitoring and agreeing.
  • The management, coordination and evaluation of tender processes (ITTs)
  • JCT & NEC forms of contract.
